This section only apply when you’ve purchased the T4A GPS Maps - Traveller’s Africa CD.
T4A GPS Maps - Traveller’s Africa CD is exactly the same as T4A GPS Maps, all 14 regional maps on one CD.
In addition to the free upgrade of T4A GPS Maps you can also subscribe to our Upgrade Subscription Service. This allows you the peace of mind that you will receive a copy of T4A GPS Maps every time it becomes available for sale to the public.
The update release of T4A GPS Maps - Traveller’s Africa CD is available every February, June and October of each year.
There are three ways to upgrade your T4A experience:
T4A Maps 4Ever – a data subscription service
Upgrade Subscription Service – an upgrade of your existing purchase
Once-off Upgrade – allows you to buy a future version at a discount
T4A 4Ever
Frequent travellers are aware that the by-roads and little tracks in Africa change with time. A map that was released before the last rainy season might just not be accurate enough in some areas. This together with the fact that Tracks4Africa community members are sending new data to us on a DAILY basis necessitates the frequent traveller to always have the latest version of T4A Maps available.
It is our philosophy that T4A Maps are not just maps, they are the collective travel experience of the T4A Community and that the changing nature of our product should be commercially accessible for frequent updates. So we have introduced T4A 4Ever. T4A 4Ever is a unique data subscription service that allows you to receive every release of T4A GPS Maps - Traveller’s Africa CD as and when we release it - and this at a price that will make our competitors blush!
The prices below are valid for 2007 only and start with version 7.02 (February 2007 release):
One year subscription R800
Two year subscription R1400
Three year subscription R1850
Four year subscription R2100
Five year subscription R2350
Prices include VAT and there are no upgrades available on these offers.

Upgrade Subscription Service
If you have already purchased the full set of T4A GPS Maps or the T4A GPS Maps - Traveller’s Africa CD, you could upgrade this purchase to receive the following release at a discount.
At a price of R300 including VAT we will send you the CD to the nearest post office in South Africa. For international customers we will send a downloadable version of the product or you could ask us for a quote to send you the CDs to your door.

Once-off Upgrade
This allows you to purchase a later version of T4A GPS Maps - Traveller’s Africa CD at a discounted price. The price of an upgrade depends on the difference in version number of your original and new CD. For example, if you have purchased v6.10 and you would like to upgrade to v7.02 (the very next one) you will receive an 80% discount on the latest suggested retail price of v7.02. This discount will decrease until it reaches zero after 2 years.
