Data submission & standards
Road lines and points of interest on the T4A Map are constructed ONLY/STRICTLY from GPS recorded/confirmed data and data submissions must comply with T4A quality standards. The road lines on the T4A Map are spatially averaged from many independent GPS recordings. This makes the T4A Map super accurate, reliable and unique.

As a first step to submit data to T4A, download the T4A quality standards document.

For more information about T4A data ownership see The red and the grey.

You should also download a sample data submission. Check out the name and comment fields which must hold complete waypoint descriptions.

To submit your data, email your files to newdata@tracks4africa.co.za ensuring that you name the data file you attach to your mail with a clear destination name.

If you would like to become a member of the T4A Community join the T4A Forum where you can receive advice or discuss issues relating to data, places, problems, etc.
